Manuel Cruz was invited by Ikea to participate in one of their Christmas workshops. On this occasion Manuel created an additional painting of his well-known series “In the street”, where he takes pieces of street posters, breathing new life into them by making them an active part of his art. Manuel informed the large gathering that it has a very sentimental thing for him, because “You are taking part of the city that he loves with you home”.
Manuel performed his show during the workshop “La comida no se tira” hosted by Mercedes Gutierrez, in charge of Sustainability at Ikea Spain. The overall focus of the workshop was on how to recycle and re-use – from food to electricity.
