A day in a city like Madrid is a continuous bombarding of images. Thousands and thousands of different visual informations pass our eyes and most of them slither unnoticed into our subconsciousness. Our artist Manu is like their dompteur: Being a son of the city, he tames all these recognizable elements that his eyes receive in Madrid. Then he turns them into thoughtfully composed depictions of the city’s soul. And even though the obvious influences stem from pop culture, Manu is also a self-taught connaisseur of art, taking inspiration from big names like Jackson Pollock or Otto Dix.
